Space Engineers

This game has a title that says what it really is “Space Engineers” because you really are in space and you do some engineering. This game is a sandbox game that is set in space. The area around you could consist of asteroids or even planets that could be home to creepy spider things that barrow through the ground. The plants were only recently added, but it was well wroth the wait because the planets of increasing gravity fields which mean as you get closer to a planet the gravity gets stronger and stronger just like real life. Space Engineers also has oxygen implemented so you can die of suffocation if you aren't careful, but you don't only need to worry about you oxygen and creepy spider things, because you suit also has a power level and if that hits zero your life support systems file and you suffocate in the suit that was made to protect you. There is also an intensive modding community for this game.

I would rate this game a 9.5/10

Borderlands

This game has great game play. It's hard to get to a point where you can one-shot everyone, but this game has very, very strong language which is one of the main problems of the Borderlands series. The gameplay itself is great gameplay because almost every weapon in the game is different. Borderlands also has a class system. This feature allows different types of players to enjoy and branch out to other types of games. The game has a great story that also created two other games; Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

I would rate this game a 8.5/10

Garry's Mod

You probably have heard of a game called Garry's Mod. Garry's Mod is a sandbox game that you can do pretty much anything that you could ever imagine to do. Now this game is pretty basic by itself, but it isn't meant to be played by itself. It is recommended that you get addons to add different things to the game that make it more interesting. Some of these may include a Parkour addon or a player model that will make you look like Darth Vader. There are so many different add-on in this game there is no way I could explain all of them, the best part is that there is a community of add-on or mod creators that are constantly creating new mods and add-ons.

I would rate this game 8/10.

Sanctum

Sanctum is a tower defense game, but at still more than that. Instead of thinking you're god because towers come from nowhere and you have a bird's eye view, this game is a first person shooter tower defense game. You have 3 weapons that you can carry at a time, which means you don't have to watch that one little alien fly past your defenses because you forgot to get something that can shoot air targets. In Sanctum you can use your gun to pick off stragglers or try and hit those critical spots you need to destroy. This game is like a combination of Bloons Tower Defense and Call Of Duty. Some cons of this game are that you can just upgrade and use your guns to kill anything which takes out a big portion of the “tower defense” style gameplay.

I would give this game a 7/10

Portal 2

Portal 2 assessed my one complaint about the first portal which was that it was too easy and that I finished it really quick. Portal 2 includes everything you could ever wish for in a puzzle game. This game has Parkour in it and some levels are so confusing that you don't understand how to complete them unless you look you look up a tutorial. This game has many more plot twists than the first Portal. When you think that you are just about to finish Portal 2 you realize that you have just scratched the surface. There was answers to some theories that revealed more of the backstories of Chell (main character), Glados (Robot thingy), Aperture Science (Setting of Portal and Portal 2). You also learn about more characters such as Cave Johnson (Owner of Aperture Science), and Caroline (Cave Johnson's Personal assistant). Portal 2 also includes a multiplayer game mode where the players play as robots going through test chambers.

I would rate this game 9.5/10.

Portal

Now this is one of my more popular games that I will review. Portal. I had really enjoyed Portal, but I also thought that it was way too easy and I had finished it in less than an hour total. The gameplay of Portal was great and I loved the plot line. There was so many twist and turns in the plot that you had no idea what would happen next, and the characters of Portal, although few, were, in my opinion, some of the best characters in gaming so far. I love GLaDOS, antagonist of the game, with all of her testing, even if all of that testing is on me. The lore, which is technically not part of the game, has started up so many theories about Chell's (main character) back story and what Aperture Science (Company that Portal is set in) is really supposed to be.

I would rate this game 9.5/10

From the Depths

This game is an early access game, but I'm not going to be too harsh on the game because it is still a very good game. From the depths is a building game where you can build boats, planes, helicopters, and land vehicles. It's a great idea for a game, but it does have some bugs; such as sometimes when you get out of the driver seat of vehicles it will launch you a random distance and direction away from the vehicle which could mean death in some missions. Just a few bugs that I'm sure they will fix in the future. Overall this is a great game.

I rate this game 8.5/10
